I don't think I had been ready for the level of exhaustion that selling up and moving to another city would bring on...one evidence being trying to pour milk with the lid still on the bottle...on a pretty regular basis!
I'm getting use to stepping foot outside my front door and finding myself immediately immersed in the world with all its busy-ness. Initially it was overwhelming...but I have quickly adjusted and discovered the convenience attached to living in the midst of the masses! A highlight so far was catching the train into the city and stumbling upon the opening and free concert of the Melbourne International Jazz Festival...seriously cool!
My greatest comfort in this time of transition has been the discovery anew that my God does not change. His arms are always safe and both Garth and I have felt like we have been viewing everything while being carried by our amazing Father.
I will endeavour to get back to a regular posting...exciting things are afoot musically...more on that later.
For now...I will leave you with a thought from one of my favourite authors...the incomparable C.S. Lewis...
“Safe?” said Mr. Beaver; “don’t you hear what Mrs. Beaver tells you? Who said anything about safe? ‘Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. He’s the King, I tell you.”
