I am on an interesting journey. I am learning, once again, that saying 'Yes' to the one thing means that you will end up saying 'No' to perfectly respectable, reasonable and noble things. These things that may well look and sound like the right things to do to you and those around you.
I am discovering anew that motives matter. I am finding that if I do respectable, reasonable, noble things to please others, or to justify my existence, they are often the very things I should not be doing.
I am also discovering that once I acknowledge I am doing right things for the wrong reasons and surrender them, my energy for the one thing or group of related things is almost boundless. I'm also finding that opportunities suddenly open up, whether it be because I am allowing them in or God was just waiting for me to figure out that I needed to say 'No'. I have been astounded at the way things have opened up as I have figured out that I need to give myself to the things that are my 'Yes'.
I found a brilliant quote on Pinterest a few days ago that summed up my week;
And this adventure continues!
May you find your 'Yes' and may it release creativity, joy and love in and through you!
Until next time, have a brilliant weekend!
